Karak Star hosts German expert September 2019
Jordan-German Industrial Development cooperation made it possible for Karak Star to host an expert advisor through an advising program managed by the Jordan Chamber of Industry. Engineer Lorenz Rehbach, German papermaking advisor, came to Karak Star through the SES (Senior Experten Service), a German program.
The Karak Star Factory is located in the Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II Industrial Zone, about 90 km away from Amman. Over the month of September, Eng. Rehbach evaluated the Karak Star egg tray factory and suggested measures to improve the manufacturing processes. Over four weeks, the expert worked side by side with the Karak Star engineers through the entire paper recycling process. He gave advice for improving the quality and sturdiness of the egg trays, reviewed the factory’s standard operating procedures, and implemented new weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.
