The poultry and egg sector in Jordan produces 110,000 trays of 30 eggs per day on average.  Some egg producers sell eggs in carton trays and those trays are mostly imported from Saudi Arabia.  Manufacturing costs are much less expensive there, notably electricity, fuel and water. Despite this there is ample opportunity to recycle paper in Jordan and this work can generate employment for people who collect and sort paper and it can contribute to a cleaner environment and reduce stress on landfills.
